Drain Jetting - Drain Blockages
Blocked Drains – Drain jetting (also known as High Pressure Water Jetting) is a highly effective way of clearing and unblocking drains. Water is run through a high pressure hose with a jetting nozzle. The clear advantage with drain jetting is that hose can extend much further down the pipe, negotiate bends and exert far more pressure on even the toughest blockages.
What is drain jetting?
Drain jetting involves a hose being inserted into a pipe and water being forced through a nozzle at very high pressure. The holes in the nozzle are drilled at an angle that point in the opposite direction to the direction of travel. This process means the hose is physically propelled through pipe as the water exits the nozzle which scours the inside of the pipe whilst at the same time forcing the hose down the pipe. A powerful pump is required in order to eject the water through the nozzle at high pressure, as well as specialised personal protective equipment in order to guard against injury when using these machines.
Drain jetting isn’t just for blockages. It can also be used as a preventative measure to ensure your drainage system remains in working order.
